1st Camping Trip at Woodward Reservoir

What an amazing time and boy oh boy did I get dirty!! Daddy, Mommy, Brother, Grandpa and I left for the fun-filled camping trip on Thursday July 9th and came back home on Sunday afternoon of the 12th. I had a blast getting dirty, eating dirt, playing inside and outside the motor home and playing in my push car around the campsite. I did not sleep very well on Friday night due to all the loud noises from surrounding campsites partying the night/morning away. On Saturday night, it was quiet but, I still did not sleep well and woke up at 6:30am which made the entire family get up. On Friday, everyone except Grandpa went home to take showers and bring back the boat so that we could use it as we had a water front site. On Saturday, Nana, Papa and Auntie Billie came for a day visit and brought us 20 gallons of water. We needed water because the motor home water inlet value burst and drained the entire fresh water tank leaving us with no water. Mommy and Daddy had to go into town and buy water bottles so that we could wash dishes and Grandpa decided to use lake water to flush the toilet when needed. Also on Saturday, Daddy had to call the local Sheriff because the group that tried take over our campsite were doing illegal things and starting to cause grief which the family did not like. Once they showed up, the party dispersed and all was quiet the rest of the night. All in all, we all had a great time and we are looking forward to the next trip in August with the Luna Moms Club.

    Alameda County Fair

On July 5th, Mommy, Daddy and Brother took me to the Alameda County Fair. We met Auntie Sandy, Uncle Joe, Sydney, Jordan, Spencer, Papa and Uncle Kevin at the fair for the fun. While at the fair I got to pet many different animals like goats, pigs, deer, baby chicks, a snake and finally several bunnies just to name a few. We watched the pig races, kids tractor pull where Sydney participated, and I got to watch brother and friends ride the carnival rides. While watching my friends, Daddy was holding me near the games and I noticed something really neat and kept calling for it until Daddy heard and understood me. I noticed that one of my favorite foods was hanging there and I wanted it. When Daddy turned around and noticed what it was, he decided to try and win it for me. There was several sizes from small to extra large bright yellow stuffed nana's. Daddy and I walked over there and the guy said that if Daddy bought the $5.00 bucket he was guaranteed to win. So needless to say, Daddy paid the money and tried to place a ping pong ball into a small round fish bowl. He got one in, but was the wrong color. It was ok, I still got one and I really enjoyed chewing on it for the evening. :) We stayed at the fair until around 7pm and then decided to eat at On the Border. Once dinner was complete, we drove home and did our nightly routine before bed. It was a great day with friends and family and was nice to see everyone.

    4th of July

This was my 2nd 4th of July and what a great day we all had!! We did not make it to the parade, but we did see the last part on our way to the park for the festivities. We walked around and saw several people we knew. Mommy talked with Gina while Daddy played with me and showed me the festivities. After Mommy was done, we walked around, ate lunch, and went back home. Next, Mommy took to me to my friend Nicholas' 1st birthday party, while Daddy built a stand for the washer and dryer. It was fun seeing some of my little friends and getting to eat cake!! After the party, we came home and got Daddy, and then went to Auntie Rhonda's Mom's 60th birthday party. We stayed there awhile and visited with friends, and then we went to my friend Kaitlyn's house for a B.B.Q. We ate yummy hotdogs and hamburgers and had brownies and ice cream for dessert!! YUMMY!! :) We really had a great time!! After dinner, we went to Grandpa's house and we joined the block party going on in his neighborhood where we watched the fireworks. The were really loud and so pretty to look at! I didn't even cry, I just gazed at them in amazement!! It was a really busy and fun-filled day!!

    Finally on the move

After many frustrating days and nights, I have finally figured out how to crawl. I saw a book on the floor that I wanted and decided it was time to go get it. Mommy, Daddy, Brother, and our friends were enjoying a nice St. Patrick's day dessert that Shawnna made, and all of a sudden, everyone looked down and much to their surprise, I was crawling for the first time!

    St. Patricks Day

Well there was a lot of green around. Mommy had me all dressed in green so no one could give me a little pinch. We had a pretty relaxing day and we went to T-Ball practice and finally to our friends for a great dinner. Mommy and Daddy had Irish stew, soda bread, Irish cheese and crackers, Irish beer and finally a green creme brule'e. I also really enjoyed the Irish cheese and could not get enough. While they were eating dessert, I started crawling for the first time.

    Finally, I have 5 teeth

I went from 1 tooth to 5 teeth in the matter of 3 months. I am really enjoying my puffs, Cheerios, bread, sweet potatoes, rice and pasta. Mommy is not liking this as much as I seem to bite her while feeding from time to time. As these teeth come in, it becomes very painful and I can be grouchy and not happy. Hope everyone understands.

    Valentines Day 2009

What a day for the entire family.  Mommy and Daddy had grand plans to go on a nice dinner date while Nana & Papa were going to watch me.  Mommy made dinner reservations at La Strata in Napa, but the plans fell short when both Daddy and I got the stomach flu and were down for the count.  Instead of this nice evening out Daddy spent a romantic evening with the porcelain god and a whole lot of time in bed.  Brother was also sick, but he was at his dads house laid up as well.  Finally, two wonderful days later when both Daddy and I were feeling better, Mommy got really sick as well.

    First Tooth (12/8/08)

Ouch, I am in a lot of pain and finally know why. I had my first tooth break through and welcome itself into my mouth. This little white thing thing is so tiny and sharp, Mommy is now worried when I feed.

    Vacation Down South (12/7-12/13)

WOW, what a busy week in Sunny Southern California. We started our trip visiting Great-Grandma Darby and Great-Grandma Schultz-Brittain in Hemet. While visiting them we went to dinner which is where I got to meet/visit all my Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. After dinner we settled in at Grandma Darby's so that we could get up early to start the next adventure. When we woke up, everyone got ready and packed the car to head to Legoland for a fun filled day. This was really a neat place and the first time everyone had been there. We say Las Vegas, New York, San Francisco and the Daytona 500 Race Track all built from Lego's. After the day was over, we drove to San Diego so that we could go to Sea World. I slept through the night as I was completely exhausted and needed my beauty rest. We woke up Tuesday morning and were at Sea World shortly after the gates opened. While there, we had lunch with Shamu the killer whale and then went and saw everyone (including Mommy and Brother) get soaking wet as they were in the splash zone. While Mommy and Brother were soaking wet we decided to go do the last few things before the park closed. While getting from place to place, Mommy took a tumble while trying to take a picture of Brother in front of a surf board. Mommy really hurt herself and was in a lot of pain with her thumb throbbing. Mommy tuffed it out and eventually had to see a doctor while at Disneyland. After all the adventure in Seaworld, we drove to Anaheim to get ready for 4 days in Disneyland. During this time we meet up with Mommy and Daddy's friends Shawnna and Dave, ate breakfast with Goofy, visited California Adventure and Disneyland, had dinner with Lori, Matt and kids at the Elephant Bar (Volcanoooooooooo). While there, we stayed in the Disneyland hotel which was very convenient and we rode the monorail into the park. We also had special dinner reservations for Club 33, which is the exclusive restaurant within the Disneyland park. During our dinner, Brother decided he was tired after such a busy day and was going to take a nap at the fancy restaurant. The server brought over a second chair for him to spread out on and offered a table cloth as a blanket. This was too funny and we have photos. After dinner the park was closing and we had to walk all the way back to the hotel as the monorail was not running any longer. All in all, this was a wonderful trip and myself and the rest of the family really enjoyed the trip and hope to go again next year.

    Thanksgiving Holiday

This was my first Thanksgiving and got to spend it with the entire family in Vacaville. Nana and Papa hosted the wonderful day while Grandpa, Uncle Scottie, Uncle Kevin, Cousin Brittany, Big Brother Brandon and of course Mommy and Daddy enjoyed the company and food. I missed all the goodies and got to enjoy my milk. After a fun-filled day with family, Daddy took Grandpa and Brother to the hotel for the evening. Then he came home and got me ready for bed. I had a very good night, since I slept through it. While I was sleeping Mommy, Daddy, Uncle Kevin and Nana all went shopping for the wonderful deals and to by me cute clothes.
The day after Thanksgiving we went to lunch at Chevy's in Dixon where I had my first vegetables (Green Beans). After my yummy green beans and everyone finished lunch, we went to Silveyville Tree Farm in Dixon to pick out our Christmas Tree. Daddy really had to pack the truck well as we had all of our stuff as well as purchased a tree for the family as well as a little one for me and brother.

Am I realy doing this? (11/26/08)

Today is November 25th and Daddy sat me down to see if I could sit-up on my own. To much daddy's surprise, I sat up without him holding me up. I was a bit wobbly at first as I tried to gain my balance. This was so much fun and I saw life differently as I was looking at things straight on instead of sideways. What an experience and something I am going to continue doing.
